This week started out with a bit of a surprise. I was driving along the highway when all of a sudden Carlton's brakes gave out! Luckily there were plenty of back roads that I could drive on to get to Kaltire, and I made it there safely. After 5 hours of trying to get home I finally made it back to the house I was staying at. The next day they were able to fix everything and I had my van back which was awesome. I was super happy with how it was all dealt with.Â
I had a few more days at the house in Aylmer, where I put up some pictures, cooked various meals and did some basic house jobs. On Friday I went back to the boys' place where Connor and I made Ice Cube Apple Pies. They turned out really good and were delicious.Â
On the weekend there was an event at Lansdowne Park called the Kilt Skate. It was literally people skating in kilts to celebrate Sir John A. McDonald's Birthday, which was a unique experience for sure. I also got to watch Zootopia, help move my Aunt to her new place and cut Robin's hair, all of which turned out really well.
I finished workaway in Aylmer at the end of the week. Before that though I made some banana bread and got to clean the gecko cage. His feet were super sticky, but really cool. Follow on my adventures back in Ottawa in my 'Across Canada' Gallery. You can also follow me on Facebook and Instagram.
