Christmas is over and it's time to get ready for the new year. I have made plans this year to go back to the cottage in Parry Sound for New Years. However, before doing so I had to work the Nature Nocturne at the Museum of Nature. My job was coat check. It was a really easy job, but a fast moving one. I got to bed around 2 am because of the late shift and woke up the next day with the intent to drive to Guelph. On the way I picked up 2 Kangariders who I drove to Toronto. Kangaride is a rideshare program. The ride was really nice. I made it to Guelph and met up with Connor and Robin once again.Â
On New Years Eve Day we played 'Dead of Winter' before going to a house party of mostly Guelph classmates. It was a good day all around and I met a bunch of new people as well. New Years day consisted of driving once again. This time we drove out to the cottage in Parry Sound. The roads were pretty good but the visibility was quite poor in a few places due to a snow storm. We saw the remains of a rather large accident. Thankfully our whole crew made it to the cabin all safe and sound.Â
The 5 of us stayed out at the cabin until the 3rd when Connor, Julia and David headed back to Ottawa. While we were there we did a variety of activities. These ranged from going on walks, playing 'Skulls and Roses' (a card game), relaxing, and a guitar lesson. It was super enjoyable and everyone had a great time. Charlie also had a blast playing and bounding around in the snow.Â
We said farewell to the 3 others and said hello to Pam and Kit on the 3rd. Robin and I are going to stay a while longer but that is for my next blog post. In the meantime check out my 'Across Canada' gallery and follow me on Facebook and Instagram.
