The beginning of the week started off with my going to a photo/video gallery at the University of Ottawa with Garett. It was a very small show but the photographs were kind of interesting. On Friday I went with my Aunt to the Fulton's Pancake House and Sugar Bush, I really enjoyed going and looking at the history of how syrup has been made throughout the years. They used to use large hollowed out logs and hot coals to heat it. Now, they use an evaporator to reduce the sap into syrup.Â
For St.Patrick's Day we decided to go out to a Pub called Brigid's Well. It is a pub in the basement of Saint Brigid's Church after its deconsecration. It's really weird because half the basement is this really well lit space for events, and the entire basement has a variety of church antiquities. Sunday was my last day dogsitting Juneau. We had a decent walk and then I was off after cleaning the house.
The week also included making muffins, lasagna and apple chips. On Tuesday I went to check out the Interprovincial Bridge which I have been intrigued with for a while as it looks like 3 bridges in 1.Â
The last day of the week included exploring the grounds of the Governor General. We didn't stay too long as a guard asked us to leave with Charlie. Although I did enjoy reading the plaques on the trees to see who visited the property in the past. I also went geocaching with Robin where we found a toy compass in the park.
