This week was overall pretty easy. I am now working at a house in Aylmer, doing a lot of simple house work and various jobs. Tuesday to Friday mornings I'm up at 4am to teach English online, then I start with my various jobs. These jobs range from patching clothing, posting kijiji ads, attaching doorknobs and general cleaning.Â
Something I am excited about at this house is the plethora of foods I get to cook. Since they live close to a grocery store we can often go shopping and try new dishes. I started off pretty simple with some bacon-wrapped meatloaf, but then I got to try out preparing duck and sushi. All of them turned out decently well which I was super happy with. I am really glad that the owner of the house gives me the main dish as an idea and then lets me have free reign from there.Â
On the weekend I went for Brunch with the brunch bunch and ate alligator for the first time ever and it tasted really good! The texture looked kind of funny as it had a bunch of circles on it, but I was quite glad I tried it out though. I have started practicing more guitar with Connor as my teacher. So far so good in that realm. Check out some images I have taken along the way in my 'Across Canada' gallery and follow me on Facebook and Instagram.Â
