The beginning of this week marked the beginning of leaving Ottawa. On Thursday I headed out to a couchsurfing meet up again where I met some awesome people as usual. Ottawa seems to have a really good couchsurfing community, and it's awesome to be a part of it. On Friday I dressed up and went to attend Nature Nocturne, a party in the museum with a theme of 'Dig Your Dino'. We rode a mechanical dinosaur, which was really just a mechanical bull with a dinosaur head taped to it, and got to pet a live starfish. Needless to say, it was extremely fun and interesting.
On Saturday I attended an event called "Killing Roses," at Brigid's Well. It brought together painters, photographers, hip hop artists, and poets from the Ottawa and Toronto area to share their work in a shared setting. There were some really daedal pieces. I am quite glad I attended. My favourite piece was "Eyes of Fire," by lyfebyore.
This weekend I also visited my cousin and Aunt, as a farewell before I leave the Ottawa area. I've also just started to learn how to longboard, which is quite enjoyable, but a bit shaky. This week ended with me working on my paddle again and I am quite close to varnishing. See where I go next by following my 'Across Canada' Gallery and following me on Facebook and Instagram.
