After a good visit in my hometown of Forestburg I was on the road again. I decided to do a little bit of back tracking and visit my sister before heading into the great unknown. Charlie and I met a couple new friends: Lexi and Poppy, two awesome black labs. We went on an adventure east of Bashaw, the land was absolutely gorgeous and the dogs had a great time. They were good and tired by the time we left. We went out there again a few days later to helped pick up firewood for a friend. The dogs were in heaven again just running around. We all had an impromptu photoshoot on the wood pile and were good and tired by the time the day was done.
On Monday I headed over to the Lougheed Colony to have Charlie meet the kids there. They were super excited to be introduced to my new dog, and Charlie was just as excited. He really likes meeting new people. In the afternoon Charlie got to meet Buddy and Hunter who had a good run as well. Charlie was so tired after he didn't want to come for a tractor ride later that evening. I had lots of fun with that though as I watched from the grain cart tractor and saw all that was happening.Â
The last day this week Charlie went to the vet and then we continued on to Altario. Luckily we were on the outskirts of a crazy windstorm and weren't driving in the worst of it. Although the morning after the storm we got to go see what had blown away or moved. The wind had managed to knock over a calf shelter it was so strong! After the clean up we started heading to Saskatchewan. That leads us to another post though.Â
